Review: 16 Brand Eye Magazine and Heimish Bulgarian Rose Hydrogel Patch

Hello, Angels!

Today I’m back with another product review. This time, ahem, I’m going to review two K-beauty products! It’s been quite a while right since the last time I reviewed Korean products eh? I got these babies from Stylekorean Try Me program. Do you know that this program is very popular between K-beauty e-commerces nowadays? Click here to find out more about this “Try Me”!

Here are the products that I got ~ I got 16 Brand Eye Magazine and Heimish Bulgarian Rose Water Hydrogel Patch. These two items are for the eyes. It’s very nice of Stylekorean to match a cute decorative product with the happening skincare item! Okay, so without further ado – let’s start with the review of this cute little palette first!

16 Brand Eye Magazine #Everyday
Origin: South Korea
Price: $20 (now on sale!!)
Where to Buy: Stylekorean

So, in case you don’t know, 16 Brand is a sister brand of the famous Chosungah! The company builds a cute and hip Korean image for this brand, and all their products are characterized by eye-catching and colorful design to capture teens and young adults’ heart. I think the concept for each product are well-thought and well-executed too – just like this Eye Magazine, don’t ya think? This product has 4 different variants, and mine is #Everyday.

The outer box is of the size of A6 paper. Dominated with soft pastel colors and minimalist wording layout, the design really resembles real magazine cover – especially with the picture of two Korean cuties posing with the mini eye shadow palette.

the inside part of this eye magazine. really cute!

The actual eye shadow palette is so small and compact. This duo is housed in a nice, sturdy clear plastic case. No mirrors inside, but there is an applicator inside. I personally don’t think the mini brush super useful though, but it’s indeed super cute! The bristles are made of synthetic hair and feel quite soft even though the hair is quite dense. This flat top brush, however, is too big for my eyes It’s still lovely to use the brush horizontally, but I can’t use it vertically to create gradient color effect as how it’s originally meant to do.

In terms of formula, these shadows are very nice. They’re soft and easy to blend. The pigmentation is good, not striking in one go but it’s buildable. The thing that I love the most from these shadows are the glitter inside, it’s so pretty and blingy!
I wear the orange color on 2/3 of my lid, and the dark brown on the outer V.

super lovely, right? see how cute the glitter from these eye shadows are!

Next, I’m going to be talking about Heimish Bulgarian Rose Hydrogel Eye Patch 😉 This is the product that I really want to try, so I’m excited that I also got this in my mail.

Origin: South Korea
Price: $22 (now on sale for $15!!)

The packaging of Heimish product is always so sleek and pretty. It’s a simple pink box with a touch of metallic copper dots on top. Inside, the 60 pieces hydrogel eye patches are housed in a white, slim jar with nice pink lid. Inside, there is an additional thick plastic lid to prevent the patches from drying out. A spoon-like spatula is also provided, sitting nicely on top of the inner lid.

glitters! and the patches are pink...too cute.
As mentioned earlier, this product has 60 pieces (36 pairs) of pink, glittery hydrogel eye patches soaked in serum. These cute patches give cooling and moisturizing effect immediately after you put it on. I love hydrogel material far better than regular cotton because hydrogel masks/patches take longer time to dry. Even when you forget to take them off overnight (sorry, my memory is as bad as hamster’s sometimes), they won’t leave your undereye skin feel dry or tight. Anyway, these patches can also liquify and turn into serum if you put them inside hot water, but I never try this method though. At first I didn’t believe it, but I do feel that the patches are thinner after being used so possibly that’s the amount of serum that has been absorbed into my skin 😉

For the claim, I do think that after each use there’s an improvement in my undereye area. They’re going to be brighter and plumped, more moisturized. These hydrogel patches really do help to depuff the eye bags and brighten up dark circles, but the effect is rather temporary than permanent, lasting around 4 to 5 hours only. For long-term brightening effect, I still have to try and finish like perhaps around 2-3 jars before I can start commenting about it. But overall, if you’re lazy to apply eye cream like me and looking for a product that’s very convenient & more hygienic than eye creams (rather than dipping your fingers into the cream), I really really recommend you this product!

I really recommend this product for you to try, trust me it's worth your money and  it makes you save lots of time rather than applying eye cream!
