2018 K-Beauty Christmas Wishlist at Althea Korea!
Saturday is hereeee!
It’s amazing how we are finally in the
second week of December, and Christmas is literally just two weeks away from
now. Time sure flies eh, I can still remember how magical my last Christmas was:
spending the day at home with Chob and his family, having lunch together, and
chit-chatting until midnight. This year, I believe it can be more magical if
(ahem) there are Christmas presents under my tree, and what’s inside better be
makeup.

Anyway, it’s been a while since the last
time Chob bought beauty stuff for me himself and I miss receiving surprise
gifts from him! But well, first of all, he has definitely no idea about beauty stuff.
He considers all pencil products are eyeliner ugh. Second, he won’t bother to
go into Sephora on his own and get
judgemental stare from other customers. If you’ve met him in person you’ll know
why – his face somehow looks super velvety and smooth from afar, as if he puts
full face base makeup on! Shopping online are not the best option as well,
because there are too many dishonest sellers in marketplace that sell fake
items, especially K-beauty products. To make it even worse, nowadays the price difference
between the real and fake items are not very much, making boys like Chob even
more confused and believe that the fake ones are real deals! Very sad ah ☹
But thank God, finally Althea Korea is
back to Indonesia again! For almost two years, I stopped shopping K-beauty
items online because I was afraid of being scammed by unresponsible sellers. When
I heard Althea is back and you know how much I love Althea, my heart bursted with joy and my head were full with evil
plans of getting Chob buy me Korean makeup and skincare products again. Heh heh
heh. That’s exactly the main purpose of today’s post: let Chob know what
products that I want for Christmas, in a very subtle way. Now he can easily and
safely get K-beauty items for me from Althea Korea eh! 😉
Now, now, before I speak too much about
this evil plan – let’s start with my Christmas wishlist okay?

First thing first, gotta pick a stuff that
can be useful for Chob too: a set of lip care products! This set by Laneige
quickly caught my eyes because there are 4 products inside (2 flavored lip
glosses and 2 lip sleeping masks) and this set is very reasonably priced! The
lip glosses are in full size, but the famous lip sleeping masks are in travel
size. When I get this product, I will
share each of the mask and the gloss with Chob so that (ahem) he would feel
that this purchase benefits him too 😉
Of course, the ones I’m giving away to him are the ones which aroma I don’t like.
LOL.
The next product on my wishlist is still
something from this year’s holiday collection, this time it’s from Hera. Black
Cushion is so famous and I heard so many good reviews about it, but the price
is quite expensive so it will be lovely if I can just get it as a gift instead
of buying 😉 Plus, the overall design for this holiday
limited edition product is just TOO PRETTY and I should definitely have it! Well,
high-end brands always know how to win their customers’ money especially in
festive season like this.
Honestly, I am not a big fan of cushion foundation.
I do think the cushion concept is such a smart way to trick customer into
buying more plastic and getting less product inside. But if the plastic is CUTE
AF like this one, plus you get each 3 grams of dual lip & cheek cream, I
don’t mind shelling out the money okay!! The lid is super glittery and magical-looking,
the cushion sponge has stars imprinted on it, and the overall packaging is in
pink. How can you not love it? And want to buy it right away?? Plus the price I
think is not very expensive for such a gorgeous 3-in-1 product – it’s only IDR 318,000!
If Chob’s not buying this for me I will still buy it myself. I just gotta have
this one!

Now I’m being conscious and adding the
stuff that I need, not just want. LOL. Period is definitely the worst time of
the month, especially the day one! My cramps are pretty bad and not just it, my
lower back pains so much like if I have rheumatic OMG. So granny ah! In the
country where I live, heat patch/warm pack like this one is not common. We have
“koyo” like Salonpas, but it’s meant to relieve muscle pain, not to warm up
your belly and soothe away cramps. Before Althea comes back, I bought patch
like this in Thailand and it’s not as warm and convenient as this one ☹ So happy that now I can stock up this
product easily!

The fabric mist trend in Korea has finally
gotten in Indonesia too! I’m so curious about the LOVEYDOVEY fabric mist since
I knew that they’re Korea’s no.1 fabric mist brand with over 2 million bottles
sold. WOW!
The one that I’m eyeing right now is the
Luv Luv Raina version, it’s described as a “romantic lilac fragrance”. Usually
I am more of a heavy oriental-vanilla scent, but lately the weather got more humid
and I prefer lighter and fresher notes such as lilac and greens. Recently I also
discovered that I’m suffering from atopic – yes, the diaper rash on baby – and
I can’t spray perfume directly on skin anymore ☹ that’s
why a safe fabric mist is what I definitely need right now!
I have always been curious about the latest
innovation of “color-changing hair treatment” but never tried one myself, simply
because I heard mixed reviews about the April Skin one. In Indonesia, the
selection of hyping K-beauty products like this are very narrow. The online
shops bring only the big brands here, leaving the good indie brands out. When I
discovered this brand on Althea’s website and learned how cute Moremo products
are, my eyes were quickly set on this product! The Diving Blue color is just
too pretty to be missed, and the Lavender Ash is BOMB. Moremo claims that this
product can be mixed as well, and I’m really curious how my hair will look like
when I mix those two colors!
THIS MASK IS BOMB. I don’t need to say
much: it’s purple, it exfoliates and smoothes your face, it has glitters and
real gem powders that BLING 😉 This
mask reminds me of the Glamglow, but it’s very expensive and mud masks are just
not my skin’s best friend, that’s why this Blinggli peel-off mask seems perfect
for my troublesome skin!
The next item on my wishlist is this lippie set with a mouthful name, it’s from Etude House and this is a limited holiday collection. When it comes to lip products, my OCD self has this one weird obsession: collecting lipsticks/lip creams in all shades and keep them forever! I just love to stare at my big (and complete) lippies collection, and only use them once or twice. That’s why, a set of mini lipsticks like this one from Etude House is perfect for me! Chob can hand me a gift that I would really love, and on the other hand I won’t feel guilty of not finishing them because the ten lippies are in travel size and it’s easy to finish them 😉 Win-win solution, eh?
This Beauty Filter Cream Glow promises you
a pinkish mochi skin, as if you’re woke up with a beauty filter applied literally on your face. Doesn’t that sound
fun? The peachy-pink tone up effect is from the secret formulation of 8
flowers, and rose water helps to express moist and gleaming mochi skin, as if we
just had deep sleep (which we never really had lol). Adultery sucks – our
schedules are packed, our nights are short, yet we still need to look pretty
and decent every single morning. I really love the Beauty Water by Son&Park,
then I stumbled upon this 5-stars rated cream. This cream looks like a gift
from God and I definitely need to try it myself!
“Nope, nope, you don’t have to be sorry for only being a cleansing water! Instead, I really do need a good cleansing product that’s gentle and mild on my skin.” The last product on my wishlist is definitely a cleansing product, because that’s very essential to a daily makeup wearer like me and finally, this is something that I actually need instead of want 😉 This product has a very funny and eye-catching name! The reviews are all positive too, dang I need this, like 5 bottles maybe!
