Hong Kong Haul: Massive Haul (Clothes, Shoes, Makeup & Skincare)

Phew! Finally a loooong, long long yet not-interesting, amateur holiday trip posts of mine are over eh? I’m sorry guys if I still cannot provide you a total good, great report for my last holiday—it’s my first one, but it’s not supposed to be an excuse! I often forgot to bring my pocket camera along and that’s not my only mistake, maybe I should also post about 10 (and more!) mistakes I did along the trip? Trust me they’re silly but unforgivable and…regretful. Okay. Mourn on that later, now we’re gonna see what my haul(s) were back there!

Disclaimer: I am not sponsored to make this post. Some items in this post were gifts and or given by someone, yet I will state also which ones are. This post is not meant to show off nor to affect the third party to cause some envious act and or jealousy. I simply just want to show the great deals you can always grab there, and this means to be an informative, not a controversial post.

First of all, let me show you the beauty haul! It’s not a lot compared to my “monthly” haul LOL but it surely varies from nail polish to skincare stuffs, which I rarely reach for in monthly basis!

Skincare products! Including the new moisturizer for myself plus two bottles of cleansing oil, I badly want to balance and take care of my skin more. Do you see the big Vaseline there? LOL I don’t bought it! Vaseline has always been in my wish list since it was discontinued here—and now it’s back again, weird—but my Granny’s Auntie was very kind to give me one! It was her daughter bringing this huge Vaseline back from Canada, and it seems that she stocked few items so she gave me one to heal my sunburn. Yes, Vaseline is very useful and I’m still developing ways to use it the best!

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
LUSH Solid Shampoo in Jumping Juniper
LUSH Mask of Magnaminty
Vaseline Petroleum Jelly
KANEBO Kracie Naive Natural Olive Deep Cleansing Oil
KOSE Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil
ISEHAN Sunkiller Kid’s Milk SPF38/PA+++

Still around the skincare stuffs, I got My Beauty Diary masks there but I shared it with some of my friends! I wasn’t really sure if sheet masks wouldn’t harm me—and I’m now glad I did share some sheets with my friends. My face was allergic to the Cooling ones, eek! But it loves the Earl Gray ones, I’m now regretting not to stock up more on that. Ugh…
My Beauty Diary Earl Cooling Mask Sheet
My Beauty Diary Strawberry Yogurt Mask Sheet
My Beauty Diary Sweet Tea Time Set
My Beauty Diary Earl Gray Tea and Macaroon Mask Sheet

Moving on to the makeup products, here I bought some mascaras for myself LOL I’ve never been so much into mascara because it took me a long and hard time to completely get rid of them! But after seeing Yennyca with the blue mascara and some discussion in FD talking about the Kiss Me mascara, I thought I should really grab them and I’m glad I did! \(^O^)/

For the eyelash curler, I was supposed to get one from Shiseido but this one from KOJI cost me half the price so I chose to grab KOJI first~~

KOJI Eyelash Curler no. 71 Short Size
Lioele Bubi Bubi Mascara #3 Dancing Blue
Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara + Mascara Remover (Limited Edition)

Onto the Canmake-s! This Japanese brand had been gotten my attention since like thousand years ago, and I just came to make it mine just now (;A;  ) and I’m so impressed, will review them soon! The price is so-so in HK, not so cheap if compared to the real price in Japan—almost the twice if I convert the HKD price into Rupiah! And the nail colors…those are the mini nail polishes you can easily get in SaSa, and they’re HKD$10 for TWO ITEMS!! The color payoff is GREAT surprisingly, but the staying power isn’t something you’d look for. Top coat does help!

Canmake Cream Cheek in CL01
Canmake Cream Cheek in 10 Sweet Orange
AREZIA Nail Colors (Hot Pink – Coral Red – Tangerine – Bright Yellow)
Canmake Whip Mousse Lip in 02

DONE! Above are all for my beauty haul, and next is my fashion haul LOL I don’t always shop clothes, but when I do I shop like crazeeeeeeeh…okay, not if my Grandpa is around and keeps yelling at us to get back to Hotel soon as possible. But these are all I’ve managed to buy:

***

If you’re following my Instagram, you’ll notice an “offensive” word I use on my About Me tab. Told you, I’m a…
H&M HOOKER.
Yes. Since I went to HK and saw H&M, I couldn’t resist myself not to buy just 1-2 pieces of clothes. Nope. Even tho, I only managed to buy these babies because of the TIME boo-hoo I wish H&M would open soon in Jakarta! Next month baby!!!

YAY FOR H&M!!!!!

The Giordano there was all about the Monster University hype so YAY I’m Team Sulley! Anyway the green hoodie was a kids’ size, the biggest one LOL so don’t be curious if you cannot find one like mine in adult’s size~~

Canvas String Bag - Sulley Tee - MU Hoodie - 2 pairs of socks
And here’s what I got in the Ladies Market there, really worth the price and the things gotten…although I hoped I could’ve browsed more into stores! How limited was my timeeeeeeeeeee *sob*

Rose Asymmetric Dress!
Cute Skirt Playsuit - White Lace Mini Dress
Stripes Vintage Tote Bag - Floral Flare Dress

While visiting Disneyland and their store in HK International Airport, I found this cute sweater & cardigan! Plus the bag, I was about to use it for school...or maybe Uni?

Cute Donald-Duck-look-alike Tee from Bossini! Also in Kids' size...
QUACKQWACKASDFGHJK%^&*$%#$%

The gift for buying some amount and stamps’ reward from 7 eleven! Too bad I got this in Woody, I wanted Sulley okay!

....At least the Aliens, please!
And if you haven’t known it before, actually I’m a SHOES HOARDER too LOL!!! I love shoes so frickin’ much, but I have like almost no passion to buy ones in high prices or some famous brands…as long as they’re cute and they have my size, I’ll definitely go for them~

First of all here two Crocs sandals. I’m not a fan of Crocs and these are gifts from Gran’s Cousin, and I love the color! The one on the left is supaaaaa cute, don’t ya agree?

…….The boots were the only stuff which made Grandpa very angry back there. It was also given by Granny’s Cousin because our size was pretty much the same and she got me one also when she bought it online. It was cute and we will never know when it comes to handy rite, so there was no reason to leave it there, Grandpaaa *beg* The sandals with leg warmer was from her too, I cannot thank Ie Po Xiao Hui enough eh!!

Pink Knee-High Rain Boots - Khaki Sandals

Yet still, the red-with-black-dots jelly shoes seem so familiar? It’s the famous Melissa shoes in their 2010 collection, featuring Thais Losso. It was also from her, she never wore it even once since the shoes were bought. It still smells juicy and sweet until today, anyway!

(L-R) Melissa x Thais Losso - Korean Ankle Boots (thanks Michelle!)

Here are the shoes I’d certainly die for. A PLATFORM SNEAKERS FINALLY!!!!! Saved the best for last, and yet it’s what I got in the Ladies Market with a SUPA GREAT PRICE EVA, HKD$30!!!!! Am not kidding yo~~~! It was on the clearance sale yet there’s no defect on the shoes, I suppose I was born to grab it.

ISN'T IT PRETTY
That cute warm pink flats were also in sale, it was HKD$20 and I thought my Brother was kidding me when he first told me there’s a pair of shoes for only IDR 26,000—if converted—but it was true and again, it was the last pair and IN MY SIZE LOLOL

(L-R) Pink Pointed Flats - Floral Platform Sneakers

And who can resist the cuteness this platform sneakers offer? Nobody, rite! It ain’t cheap but it’s cute, still around HKD$119 I think it’s still a good deal at least, so I grabbed it right away.

the floral pattern, yay!

Finally the shoes are for closing this long, boring, and hoaaahem post! Yay for haul! Whaddya think about my haul, LOL if I told you how much I spent on them you won’t believe me just now. It’s all less than HKD$2,000 LOL! I’m not very great at picking expensive things, but when it comes to sale and the discounted items are great, worth-buying and cute, I’m always there to munch them all! Have a great day, don’t forget to comment below!! XOXO~

Review: Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Naked Rose

Illamasqua...the brand that dominates one part out of four in my blush collection. I heard about the brand first from Joveeta, of course she’s the main influence of mine to buy things and decide what’s too add into my collection LOL and I believed her as ever. The powder blusher in Naked Rose was on her wish list, I thought it would be good to do the revenge sometimes for me to go influent her back!

Who Can Resist This
Illamasqua Powder Blusher has such an elegant, simple but edgy packaging. The product comes with a black outer box made of card, the center part of the front box is hollow right on where the clear plastic lid is. The body of the blusher itself is dominated also in black color, on the center of the lid there is a clear plastic part plus the adorable embossed logo of Illamasqua, revealing the color inside. I love Illamasqua’s packaging, like seriously and ever. Period.

Every outer box has the information of the ingredients list on behind, make sure you check it because I also hear some people are allergic to certain ingredients contained in their blusher.

Description:Illuminate, radiate, make your face come alive with the colour and drama of Illamasqua Powder Blusher. Colour-intense and highly pigmented, use it to shade, brighten, enhance and define the shape of your face. Be bold, be daring, be the centre of attention.

Every product has 4.5 gram/0.15 oz in it. Find the description of the product on the bottom part of the product, it’s on the sticker along with the shade name.

True-to-Pan Color!
Naked Rose is described as neutral beige pink. Its description describes the color the best and this kind of color is so neutral it can work on most people—even all, I think! Not too cool, yet not too warm. The color is definitely a light pink and it has matte finish, but it’s really flattering on every skin tone and undertone. Even on the palest skin to the darkest one, this blush will show up just beautifully like a natural flush.

The texture of the blush honestly made me screamed the first time I touched it, because it was very soft and smooth, and buttery! It’s a bit more buttery than theBalm Boy series blush. Due to the formula, fallout may occur if you use brush with harsh bristles. Try a soft bristles one, and you will find occur no fallouts! The pigmentation, is that what you’re asking me? It’s supeeeeer pigmented, and still buildable! I really suggest you to use it light-handed and still do tap off the excess of the blush, because you can get too much on cheeks. Even so, the application is pretty much easy and this blush will do well in those no-brainer days.

Too Good To Be True
For the staying power, sorry to say it’s BEYOND AWESOME. Yes, beyond. Stressing on that word, indeed! Usually a light color blush like this one fades faster than the darker ones, but with this blush, it doesn’t budge, it doesn’t fade, it doesn’t oxidize and the color stays true to what when it’s first applied. Not lying or being overly dramatic here, I’m telling you what I experienced myself after wearing it 9-10 hours straight! ~(‾‾ᴥ‾‾)~

can you see it? on the left cheek it's sure more visible! sorry, this photo was taken from my phone cam after 10 hrs of wearing~

Retailing for 18 at Illamasqua or ASOS, actually it’s pretty expensive but trust me it’s worth every penny spent. I would exactly repurchase this shade and getting more shades from the collection!

Score

Last Words?
If you’re looking for your very first blush, I think this Naked Rose from Illamasqua is a perfect choice. It has neutral undertone so it can work with any looks and any color schemes of your look. With the soft and smooth formula plus a great pigmentation and staying power, you will never go wrong with this blush. A little goes a long way, which line suits this incredible blush the best!

So! Are you tempted already to buy this blush? I say it, no regret baby! Buy it, and proof me <3

Review: Maybelline Hyper Glossy Runway Pop Liquid Liners

Duh, duh. Who loves colorful liquid liners? I should admit that I really do, thanks to the Collection Glam Dazzling Liner that I received not so long time ago! After trying out some colors of glittery color liner, I think it’s a good idea to get out of the box and dive into some new style, probably soon turn into a trend? LOL, who knows I may be a trendsetter one day, eh? *get slapped*

And to welcome the Summer 2013, (or simply a “dry season” here in Indonesia), Maybelline has finally launched another amazing products apart from the Baby Lips Color, which is the HYPER GLOSSY RUNWAY POP LIQUID LINER!

Ingredients:
Aqua / Water, Acrylates / Ethylhexyl Acrylate Copolymer, Dipropylene Glycol, Alcohol Denat, Butylene Glycol, Silica, Phenoxyethanol, Laurethe-21, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Xanthan Gum, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, p-Anisic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium, EDTA, Tinoxide, Steareth-20, Sucrose Laurate, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Tocopherol,[+/- May Contain CI77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 / Iron Oxides, CI 77891 / CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 / Iron Oxides, CI 77891 / Titanium Dioxide, Mica, CI 77007 / Ultramarines, CI 77288 / Chromium Oxide Greens, CI 15850 / Red 6, CI 73360 / Red 30, CI 77266 / Black 2, CI 77510 / Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide CI 75470 / Caramine ]

Description taken from Maybelline.co.in:
For eyes that shine with the boldest design!
  • Rock the gutsy attitude with Maybelline Colors! Hot off the runway... easy to wear every day.

Sleek, Handy,Simple…Go!
Comes in a black with glossy material tube, these liners surely has sleek packaging and pretty much slim to store in your pouch without taking so much space. I love the pointy end of the elongated cap where you place your hand there while applying liner; it’s not so fat or too thin for you to have a good grip there. The color used on the printed label in each of the tube’s body represents the shade of the liner you get inside!

The Versions of The Magical Liners
Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner comes in two versions, in case you get confused like how much I did back there. The one in black, which costs cheaper and the runway pop version with 5 shades to choose from. Definitely the Runway Pop series cost you more LOL and the difference is not too much, around $2 only. I have 4 out of 5 shades the Runway Pop Liners have; maybe someday I would look forward to complete my collection after finding some way to really work the khaki green color on my look, LOL. My friends insist me to complete the collection, whaddya think? (‾‾◊‾‾”)

All version has 3 grams, but different and varies in price ranging from $4 to $6. I have googled for this liner while looking for its description, and somehow I only find Indians bloggers and Indonesian bloggers doing the reviews for this liner. I’m not very sure this liner is launched in every country yet, but for the black version I guess it’s.

Lovable Applicator
For the applicator that is housed by the cap, I should say I love this kind of applicator the most. It’s a thin and (very!) soft brush type applicator which is good to apply a very thin and winged, flick liner. Some may not prefer this kind of applicator as it takes some times to apply a bolder line, but I’d rather build the line’s thickness than to cut down the line’s size using remover like so.

Vivid Pop Colors, Glossy Finish.
The color provided by this liner is very opaque and kind of metallic. From a closer look, you can see fine shimmer. The finish is indeed glossy as its name. With such kind of colors and finish, of course they do their job beautifully and pop your eyes in no time! These liners take around 10-15 seconds like so before it dries up completely. The bolder the line you draw, the longer it takes to dry up. Quite a while eh, but I understand it due to the runny (but not watery!) formula they have.

Arm swatch. L-R (Hot Pink - Navy - Turquoise Green - Tangerine Orange)
I have some complain here, I'm not very sure it's only me or the product really have such strong alcohol smell! This is not kidding, the liner actually stings my eyes and gives a few seconds of "warm" sensation on your lid while it's still wet. Once it's dried up completely, however the warmness is gone. Sure you want to pay attention to this, those with sensitive eyes as the alcohol contain in these liners are quite high.

Surprisingly, the pink color doesn't go as smooth on lids even though it looks awesome on arm swatch. It seems the formula is runnier than the others, therefore it streaks when applied. I needed 2 coats to achieve a bold and perfect line as shown in eye swatch below.

Smudgeproof, but Waterproof if only…
For the claim “smudge-proof”, yes I should admit that. They doesn’t budge even you rub them, but in a hardcore mode, sometimes they can tore into flakes too. As long as you won’t rub your eyes as if you’re scratching a bug’s bite, you’ll find they’re smudge proof. “Waterproof”? Yes, they’re waterproof enough as long as you don’t rub them while wet. Bringing makeup while swimming is not something I’ll do, but these liners won’t smudge around your eyes creating a rainbow halo there while you’re swimming with them, the worst that may happen is that they would come off in flakes and disappear right away when you wipe out the water out of your eyes and face. Just that!

The staying power however is awesome, I wear them without primer (not recommended way) and they don’t budge, don’t transfer, don’t smudge nor flake in more than 8-9 hours. Haven’t tested it for a longer time of wearing, but it’s awesome enough to stand alone without primer for such a long time! The color is just as vibrant as they’re first applied, too~

Costing you around IDR 49,000 or around $6, these Runway Pop series are such a steal! How can you miss such colorful liquid liner with beautiful color and cheap tag price? Repurchase, I definitely will do once I run out of them! Maybe, I should really complete my collection too, eh?

Score

Last Words?
Maybelline Hyper Glossy Runway Pop Liners are totally a steal for those who look for a budget-friendly but great in quality liquid liners! A friendly warning though for those with sensitive eyes, these liners has seriously high contain of alcohol you may feel a sting/warm sensation on your lids. If you’re looking for a vivid pop colorful liquid liner for your summer, this might be a good pick for you. Don’t forget that Maybelline is also having a sale quite often, making this liner worth your money more LOL

So, have you tried this liner? Whaddya think, and would you buy it after seeing this review? Hope I tempted you enough LOL because I don’t want me myself to enjoy the beautiful color of the series. Enjoy, XOXO!

Review: Estee Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow Duo in 02 Cobblestones

Not only the facial cleanser but also this duo eye shadow palette was inside the goody bag from the last event of the store launching! The women in my family are all the fans of Estee Lauder’s makeup, even me myself were using their eye shadows on the first time I tried using some back there when I was just 10 years old LOL. Since now I have the Estee’s palette for my own, let’s see if the love would go down also to the third generation, shall we?

Estee Lauder Pure Color EyeShadow Duo (.12oz/35g)“Art for your eyes. Two shades made for each other. One accentuates, the other contours. Wear together, or each alone. Long lasting. Ophthamotologist-tested.”

Most Luxury and Beautiful Packaging, Ever.
The outer box was made of such a luxury glossy, reflecting navy blue card, while the words are printed in gold. It was kinda hard to photograph the box due to its material, but also very sophisticated at the same time.

The gold lid is made with a gold mirror material like such, with the Estee Lauder logo printed on it in a soft, blurry doff material. Unfortunately also with this mirror material, indeed it does attract fingerprints as well. For me the gold is an old favorite color for the classic picks, and yes it still is until today. The packaging sure looks luxury and classic, but not the old-schooled one, more into the modern classic style.

Earthy Tones are Still Versatile!
I got this in shade 02 Cobblestone, they don’t have the name for individual shades but only for the duo name—possibly that’s because Estee Lauder doesn’t have individual shades sold separately instead of putting the colors together in one duo and or quad palette.

The lighter shade on the left is a frosty light beige color, and the one on the right is a shimmery light/medium brown color, all with the warm undertone. I actually prefer at least one matte color in every eye shadow palette especially for the darker color, but the light beige color in this duo has such not too overwhelming frosty which could look matte sometimes in low light room, so I think I can still bear with this palette and bring it on the go.

Not Really Impressing, but…
For the color payoff, I should really say I’m not a fan of Estee Lauder’s colorful makeup, I mean for lipsticks, eye shadows and etc. The color payoff is super shy, it won’t pull up the color easily and not without the primer! Wearing primer is a must, but with Estee’s product it’s a double must! If you ever tested any super pigmented eye shadow like LORAC, MAC, Sleek, maybe you would find Estee is a total disappointment. The color is too shy to show off, even with primer I found myself got to use the sponge applicator included as we know sponge one is better to work with those shy shades. Yes, it’s that shy happened on the light/medium brown color too.

Some people like my Mom, Auntie would like the color payoff the most—they love the natural-almost-bare-eye-look. I do recommend this product for those who want the classy look, almost unseen eye makeup but I’m unfortunately not one of them. For the formula, I should say it’s soft enough, and no fallouts have been occurred so far. Texture is not very smooth like LORAC which is so buttery and creamy, it’s less creamy than Urban Decay’s NAKED shadows indeed. Maybe the texture is on par with UD’s single shadow, but the color payoff is indeed still so far.

The price is around IDR 300,000 for this duo, it’s kinda expensive LOL it’s definitely not so budget-friendly! I personally don’t think I would repurchase this in any other color, but I think I would most bring this along with me during some trip. Yet the design is very versatile, the shades inside are also neutral enough lol.

Score

Last Words?
Estee Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow Duo has the most luxury feeling ever, with the color gold dominating the whole packaging of this duo. I love the packaging, it’s very classy and beautiful, yet the shades inside are also made for complimenting each other. Unfortunately some may find the color payoff is not very good, I can’t say much but some people are actually fans for the low pigmentation of shadows but this duo is not for those who look for the opaque and rich shadows.
