OOTD: Cute but Psycho, but Cute

I have been a big fan of tartan/plaid pattern ever since I could remember. From the cute Japanese school girl skirts to the grungy tartan shirt like what I wear here – I love them all, especially the red-themed one. It’s just very versatile and easy to wear. You can dress it up for a more put-together look, or simply dress it down, to make it more playful for a casual occasion.

This tartan shirt was inside the goodie bag from Uniqlo’s event last month. It only had size Medium at the moment – and I believe it’s Unisex, so indeed was too big for my petite figure – and I was kinda struggling to style such an oversized shirt because I never had one before

Then I came up with this idea – making it an off-shoulder top! I chose not to tuck it inside because it looked very baggy and weird. Instead, I tied some part of the shirt for a better fit, making it a semi-cropped top. It was indeed a very good idea, wasn’t it?

I pair it with my favorite acid, ripped high-waisted denim shorts and the Holy Grail Lita Boots. This combo of bottom and shoes can really save my outfit on no-brainer days. They easily spice up any kind of tops and make them look grungy.

Added nylon backpack with the same color to the whole look. To accessorize, I also picked the plain black cap and this Vivienne Westwood inspired black-red necklace. I really think this look has such a strong sexy kind of grunge vibes. Don’t you guys agree?
